Micah Kogo of Kenya - winner of the Great Yorkshire Run 2011 put in a super fast and what was a race winning split of 2:44 between seven and eight kilometres. Later he said: "I felt Chris [Thompson] on my shoulder and decided to try and get clear. But then I slowed. It was very windy and the last part of the course was the hardest bit." (That will be the drag uphill from Park Square then!)

A selection of photos from the BUPA Great Yorkshire Run (10K), held in Sheffield on Sunday 9th October 2011.

All pictures are available to buy as a digital version without watermarks. The file size varies from 4-11Mb, mostly around the 6Mb size. The pictures were taken on a Nikon D700 full-frame digital camera - the pictures on this site are much reduced from those that would be supplied. Pictures are priced at £15 each.
